Memoir is here!

Hello readers!
I'm super excited to tell you my memoir, Longhand: One Writer's Journey, is finally available. Yay!

The most common question readers ask is, "Where do you get your ideas?" so herein lie the answers.  I hope these behind-the-scenes of book writing might inspire writers starting out and those who love the magic of words.  I've jotted a few memories from writing for the Los Angeles Times and also Scholastic, the world's largest children's book publisher: the rejections, heartbreak, joys, and beloved editors.  My privileged career has been intertwined with motherhood, the richest adventure of all.

I hope you enjoy the journey!

Congrats on the launch of your memoir, Kristi! I just found your comment on Kathryn Rusch's blog and clicked over. You were in my very first ever critique group, back in the Jurassic days we probably shouldn't even admit to remembering. :-) Do you ever hear from any of those guys? You pulled away from the pack very early on. I didn't get my first novel published until the early 90s and waited a decade before I published another one. Now I have 11 books out (one written with our neighbor Catherine Ryan Hyde) and my blog is one of Writer's Digest's Best 101 Websites for Writers. Do stop by!

Anne, NO WAY! So great to hear from you, old critique buddy from SLO. Congratulations on your books, and no, I haven't been able to track down Jay or Al or any of the others ... Thanks so much for your message. :-)

I also saw your comment on the same post. http://kriswrites.com/2015/03/04/business-musings-getting-by/#sthash.yShuZPCf.Pf4WZqEO.dpbs

I want to point out to you that your name is not linked to your memoir title at Amazon, therefore anyone who visits your author page there, or who has it bookmarked already, won't find your memoir!

Contrast http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=kristiana+gregory with http://www.amazon.com/Kristiana-Gregory/e/B000APTEWK/ref=sr_tc_2_0?qid=1425747430&sr=8-2-ent

Just thought you might want to know....
